    Coeburn Changes

For some odd reason the Blue Knight defense were mostly moved to offensive positions. From what I heard they are playing these boys on BOTH sides while now there is a B & C string. Judging from tonight's game (last I heard 20-0 & we lost), I am thinking maybe that wasn't such a great idea. Is it possible to think the defense could be moved to the offensive positions & learn the plays that fast?

Don't understand you question, but I will try to answer this. Most players in high school already know the offense their team plays. However, with that said I don't think it would have made any difference with you all at Coeburn.

I'm just in disbelief that they lost to Thomas Walker, who has been down from last year. If Coeburn can't even defeat this year's Thomas Walker, I don't know how they can possibly win the Cumberland. I was expecting tonight's game to be an excellent chance for Coeburn to shine bright, but Thomas Walker had other plans apparently.

Tommy walker didn't come into this season thinking down year. Their QB got hurt in first game, they are better than Coeburn.

Wasn't aware of what happened to their QB, I'd just seen their two losses and noticed that one of those losses was to Castlewood - that alone said enough for me, considering they absolutely destroyed them last year. Is their QB back now, and is that why they're suddenly performing better? I just figured they'd graduated most of what they had before and were having a down year.

for most around here playing BOTH sides is normal.

    Re: Coeburn Changes

They are changing boys & spots every single week here & it is VERY frustrating to the boys. I know of quite a few of them who are strong, fired up boys at the beginning of the season who don't even play now. Quite a few are talking about walking out. Personally I think they are wearing out the same boys quarter after quarter & are not giving any of the rest of them a chance. We start out strong the 1st half but after halftime the same boys hit the field & they are wore out. Team morale is at an all time low & the kids are just getting frustrated. This is not the same team morale we had last year. Yeah they have struggled in years past but I had such higher hopes than this. They came back from camp excited & on a mission. Everyone kept getting jerked from spot to different spot & we have some juniors who are good & we just knew would start who are now sitting on the bench. It makes NO sense to me & obviously from our record it is doing no good.

Tickled to death for the kids from Thomas Walker (very good bunch of kids). Shame that the QB was out when they played Castlewood,or they'd have a lock on the CD (still might win it anyway).:2thumbsup:

Let the coaches coach the team mom.
